Bonchi Powder Festival--Day 1
Day 1 of the annual Bonchi Powder Festival concluded with an awesome fireworks show at the base of the Kitanomine Gondola.
The first day featured a toast with Furano Wine, a bonfire, a live taiko drum performance, a performance of Furano's summer festival--the Heso Matsuri--by brave men dancing in the snow with no shirts on, some live pop music, a color torch parade down the slopes, and the fireworks show, all supported by food booths from 10 local restaurants feeding the hungry crowd. It was a lively evening and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Day 2 features a milk drinking contest, dance performances, and the Jinbajin World Championships.
