The areas along the Sorachi River which runs through Furano, is the Mecca for river fun. Enjoy safe and secure river sports with a specially trained guide. There is rafting, canoeing, Ducky, kayaking, canyoning, and safari floating and much more.

Because this area is a basin, you can combine undulation, corners, long straight runs for your enjoyment. Besides cycling, there are MTB tours and lessons as well. Rental cycles can be foundin front of the station, in Kitanomine district and Rokugo district.

Golf played out in the middle of a vast landscape is superb. Inside the city there is the course Arnold Palmer designed with tournaments in mind. There are also 6 park golf courses(a game which originated in Hokkaido) with 162 holes throughout the city.

There are plenty of locations in Furano to enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest. Enjoy hot air balloon flights with a guide, be courageous and soar through the sky on a paraglider. Tamer activities include horseback riding, and river fishing tours.

Furano is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Choose your peak according to experience, stamina, altitude and level of difficulty. We will help guide you to courses which are not too strenuous. Nordic walking and foot baths are also popular activities.

There are many hands-on activity plans for children such as fossil digging tours and insect collecting tours which are great fun for the entire family. Another fun activity is to take the [Forest and Star Trekking tour] which introduces you to a Furano only found at night.

The Furano Ski Slope, which has hosted the World Cup more than ten times, is a leading national ski slope. Due to the snow quality and splendidness, many skiers and snowboarders visit from within and outside of the country. There is also a school where you can take lessons fitted to your level.

In skies cleansed by winter, you can taste the spendid and exhilarating feeling of completely becoming like a bird, floating in a hot air balloon or hanging on a paraglider. Or, dog sledding over snowfields and enjoying ice fishing for Japanese pond smelt, etc., in snow country there are many things to enjoy!

There is nothing like the exhilarating feeling of a snow mobile dashing over pure white snowfields that continue forever. Also on land, there is snow rafting and snow (inner)tubing, and snow banana-boarding, etc., activities for complete enjoyment. By joining a group, it just adds up, make no mistake!

The greatest appeal to snow shoeing is that you can choose any course you like. Chasing after footprints of northern foxes is something that can only be enjoyed on snowy pastures. Nature ski that allows you to fully enjoy walking, climbing and skiing is also very popular.

Viewing the snowy landscape with the steam rising over it, the Outdoor Spa Tour is a popular plan in winter. With the women's representative team drawing attention to it, there is a place where you can experience curling. Moreover, daycare service is also available (introduced).
