Dressing for Spring
Wondering what clothes to pack for a spring trip to Furano? Today the weather ranged from -3C overnight to +13 C this afternoon. That's pretty challenging, especially if you're not used to it.
Just like winter, layering is the key. However, in the spring, some of the layers are different. You probably don't need thermal underwear, unless you are quite sensitive to the cold. In that case, the thinnest layer will be more than sufficient.
You want to bring several layers that can be worn solo or in combination when things cool down. T-shirt? Fine, but make it long-sleeved. Then some slightly warmer shirt to wear over that, a fleece or other warm layer, and then a windproof jacket. Warm beanie or wool bill cap. Thin jogging gloves.
That should do it. Somewhere in there is the combo that will be just right for whatever temps fickle Mother Nature may throw at you on a given day,. And don't be shy about bundling up! People from tropical places naturally feel quite cold at +10 C. Their bodies never have to deal with that!
See you in Furano.
