'Tis the Season -- For Fireworks
Japan is renowned for large and numerous fireworks displays during the summer.
Around Furano, there are three upcoming events, the first of which is tonight at Lake Kanayama, about 45 minutes south of Furano. Stuff will be happening all day, but if all you want to see is the fireworks, those kick off at 8:00 PM.
Lake Kanayama is not accessible by public transport, so a car or taxi is your only option.
