Furano Wine Grape Festival
Tomorrow is the annual Furano Wine Grape Festival!
Featuring wines from four local wineries. There will also be lots of great food. Besides the wines, the highlight is the traditional Grape Crushing or Grape Stomping event. Photo op featuring the local Grape Ladies is from 12:15 -- 12:25, but the real kicker is that YOU TOO can join in on the stomping! That's right! If you fancy getting literally getting in touch with ancient traditions, sign up at the main festival tent from 10:00-12:00. Spaces are limited.
For tasting, bring your own wine glass or buy one at the festival for 500 yen.
The event will be held in the lower parking lot at the Furano Winery. There are approximately 300 parking spaces. Free shuttles will also run between the event and JA Furano (near JR Furano Station). The first shuttle is at 9:30, and will run every 10 minutes throughout the day.
