Furano Ski Resort--Season Passes

The "Super" Early Bird prices have come and gone, but the good news is that the regular "Early Bird" prices are still in effect to October 16. And the better news is that the price is only 3,000 yen more, not a big difference.

The resort has announced the day lift ticket price for the year at 9,000 yen. At current exchange rates, that is still less than $60 USD, which is a bargain in anyone's book. So for the Early Bird pass buyers, that makes the "Ski Free" threshold now just 8. 5 days. That will jump to 10 days if you buy a full price pass. Still a steal for those staying 2 weeks.

Again, the resort does not offer online purchases. Applications may be submitted by mail, but must contain cash (you can actually mail cash in Japan in special

For those wishing to get in on the action, use the Google Translate version of the application form below. Here are the important details:

Early Bird (10/1-16) Adult 76,000 yen Senior 59,000 yen
Regular Season (11/14--) Adult 98,000 yen Senior 75,000 yen

There are also prices listed for junior and high school students. Kids up to 12 still ski free, but you can get a season pass for them (or they can get up to 10 days at a time from the ticket counter) for only a 3,000 yen processing fee. Makes them feel part of the team.
