Furano Tourism recently attended the London Snow Show, and the Portland (Oregon) Snowvana events to help spread the word about Furano's fabulous winter. Actually, everyone seemed to have already heard about us, but wanted to discuss logistics and pricing to see how they could actually go.
Most commonly heard: "It's on my bucket list."
Why wait? I heard more than once that it was nearly as expensive for UK skiers to fly to Switzerland, or Oregon skiers to fly to Colorado, as it was to fly to Japan. Not exactly true, but underscores an important point: Look at the total price, not just the airfare.
* Dining out in Furano is incredibly good and incredibly cheap. And it's yummy Japanese food!
* Furano lift tickets have been raised this year to 50 Euros or $57 USD!
* Kids up to 12 ski free in Furano!!
* Lodging is similar to Colorado, USA.
* Yes, airfare is a lot, but look at the total difference compared to where you were thinking of going anyways, not just the ticket price, and realize you get to go to Japan as well for that extra money!
